Shipyard GREBEN was founded in 1948 with intention of constructing and repairing wooden vessels. Shipyard GREBEN originated as an existing small private shipyard. Shortly after forming started with construction of smaller wooden vessels and after a certain period it started to manufacture fishing vessels up to 30 m long.
After 1950 it started to manufacture lifesaving equipment and lifeboats from aluminium alloy. During the sixties development started on GRP lifeboats. In the same year Production has also included lifeboat lifting and lowering arrangement. Beside lifesaving equipment between 70's and 80's, shipyard GREBEN has transformed into manufacturer of large craft from GRP. It started manufacturing fishing vessels, patrol boats, landing crafts, fast boats, passenger boats and sailing yachts.

By developing a new products, renovation of production permises has been made (workshops, slipways, assembly shops, fiting out quay and the remaining necessary permises for production. Today shipyard GREBEN exists as MONTMONTAZA-GREBEN Ltd, employs 130 employees and is completely owned by Montmontaza Group, one of the Croatian leading contractors of industrial plants, buildings and infrastructure.
