On 16 April 2012, after successfully conducted trials, a cargo-work vessel named M/V «Cromaris», designed for working on fish farms, was delivered from «Montmontaža-Greben» Shipyard.
The catamaran was build for the Zadar based company «Cromaris», dealing with breeding, sale and processing of fish, and the final takeover shall take place after functional trials in the Zadar water area.
Catamaran M/V «Cromaris» is the first vessel of such design on the Adriatic Sea. It is a 100% product of the Croatian experts, since it has been designed in «Montmontaža-Greben» Shipyard in accordance with the requirements of the «Cromaris» company and in the class of the Croatian Register of Shipping.
The performance of the catamaran ensures a wide range of application and completely meets the buyer's technical requirements. «Montmontaža-Greben» Shipyard plans production of a similar vessel intended for other fish farms and for one-day tourist trips.
CATAMARAN WORK VESSEL type GK-18,25 m
M/V «Cromaris»
Catamaran work vessel type GK-18,25 m has an open work deck and is equipped with twin screws with pitch propellers driven by diesel engines. It is also equipped with a cabin for the two crew members, a galley, a wheelhouse and a day room, while the cargo handling is performed by a knuckle boom crane 1,4 t/16 m. The vessel is intended for working on fish farms. It is designed for the conditions prevailing in the navigation area 6 and it meets the regulations of the Croatian Register of Shipping.
The main assignment of the work catamaran is agricultural support:
• all types of transport, except of dangerous cargo under restricted regime
• net handling/maintenance
• fish cage handling
• pushing and pulling cages
• marine works on fish farm
• open deck works.
